NSW has recorded 1,029 new locally-acquired COVID-19 cases in the 24 hours until 8pm last night, as well as a further 3 deaths - all of which were unvaccinated.
It's the first time since the Pandemic began that cases have topped 1 thousand, but despite the record amount - the following restrictions will ease:
For fully vaccinated people who live outside the LGAs of concern, outdoor gatherings of up to 5 people (including children) will be allowed in a person’s LGA or within 5km of home.
For those who live in the LGAs of concern, households with all adults vaccinated will be able to gather outdoors for recreation (including picnics) within the existing rules - 1 hour only, outside curfew hours and within 5km of home.
The eased rules will come into effect at 12:01am AEST on September 13.
Meanwhile, Regional NSW's lockdown has been extended until at least September 10, with a rise in cases across Western NSW, including in Dubbo.
