6 News to launch new political panel & analysis show where viewer comments are read out live

SpinCheck LIVE launches this Thursday at 8pm AEST.

In an expansion of the SpinCheck brand - which has been airing since May 2022 - 6 News will this Thursday launch SpinCheck LIVE, in the same timeslot already in use.

SpinCheck already covers state, federal & world news from the world of politics, as well as highlighting niche elements of Australia's political history.

Now, SpinCheck LIVE will not only cover the latest headlines - we'll have a panel every program.

As with all programs 6 News puts out, it'll still feature the same great independent reporting & analysis from the 6 News team, but we'll also be featuring 2 guests who'll get to have their say.

It's not, however, an opinion show - our team will continue to remain impartial, but our guests will also remain uncensored.

SpinCheck LIVE also builds on the success of two other former 6 News programs, Press Gallery & Mornings.

But - we hear you ask - how is SpinCheck LIVE different to other political programs, like Insiders on the ABC & Sunday Agenda or Outsiders on Sky News?

A few reasons:

1. You don't have to wait until Sunday. You can get the latest headlines as they happen & prepare for the next few days of announcements, press releases & more.

2. The guests won't just be from major parties, as some have criticised mainstream media for. Instead, we'll highlight all the minor parties & independents out there.

3. It's almost fully unscripted - a proper live program, as it should be.

But the biggest reason of all is this:

We'll be streaming on our YouTube Channel, and the live chat will be open - meaning you can have your say on stories & our guests' opinions as they come in, and we'll even be reading out your comments live.

So don't wait until Sunday morning for political headlines - tune into SpinCheck LIVE, every Thursday at 8pm AEST/6pm AWST or on-demand on our YouTube Channel - subscribe here.
