Did the ABC refuse to cover NSW's COVID-19 situation? A quick Google search disproves that claim

The state today recorded 15,091 new COVID-19 cases & 24 deaths.

NSW has today recorded 5,091 new COVID-19 cases & 24 deaths - with 2,816 people in hospital & 196 in ICU.

Yesterday, NSW Health reported 20,324 cases & 34 deaths - but is the national broadcaster refusing to report on the state's situation?

Twitter user David Huett claimed that the ABC "REFUSES" to cover the situation in its news bulletins, before listing the day's numbers himself.

But is his claim true?

No.

This article from the ABC shows them reporting on many aspects of the NSW COVID-19 situation yesterday.

They also broadcast Premier Dominic Perrottet's press conference live on TV & on their YouTube Channel.

All this information can even be found using a quick Google search.

Huett today replied to our very own Leonardo Puglisi, saying this:

"THERE IS NO ONGOING REPORTING OF NSW NUMBERS THROUGHOUT THE DAY...UNLESS YOU HAPPEN TO BE VICTORIA OR QUEENSLAND, WHOS NUMBERS ARE ON THE 'TICKER' ..ALL DAY LONG!!"

That's been disputed by some, and looking at some of the ABC's bulletins yesterday, it doesn't show ANY state's COVID-19 numbers on the ticker.

He also claimed that "Victorian and Qld numbers (are) on the 'ticker' ALL DAY LONG!!" - which is not true, when looking at what happened yesterday.

For additional context, this was the ABC's 10pm (AEDT) bulletin yesterday - no mention of specific numbers on the ticker.

The ABC also showed the figures in their 7pm bulletin in NSW.
