Legendary cricketer Shane Warne dies of suspected heart attack

Tributes have come in from around the world for the 'king of spin.'

Australia cricket legend and the 'king of spin,' Shane Warne, has died at the age of 52.


Fox Sports reports Warne was found unresponsive in a villa he was staying at in Koh Samui, Thailand.


A statement released by his management team confirmed at around 1am AEDT that he had died of a 'suspected heart attack.'


"Shane was found unresponsive in his villa and despite the best efforts of medical staff, he could not be revived."


Warne made his Test debut in 1992, playing until 2007 - then later going onto compete in the IPL & the BBL as an inaugural player for the Melbourne Stars.


Tribute have flowed in from across Australia & around the world, including from former teammates & those he played against.

Warne's death came just hours after the passing of another Australian cricket legend - Rod Marsh - who was 74.
