Australian travel restrictions


The Federal Government has announced new travel & quarantine rules in response to Omicron.


The 9 countries affected are:

  • South Africa

  • Zimbabwe

  • Botswana

  • Namibia

  • The Seychelles

  • Lesotho

  • Eswatini

  • Malawi

  • And Mozambique

Any non-Australian citizens who have been those nations cannot enter Australia, and citizens & their dependents who have been there over the past 2 weeks will need to enter 14 days of quarantine.

The following locations (excluding Australia) have implemented travel restrictions as a result of the Omicron COVID-19 variant:

  • European Union (27 nations)
