'More than the vibe': Greens senator David Shoebridge on why his party wants to legalise cannabis

Updated: Oct 21, 2022

Shoebridge & Professor Graeme Orr spoke about The Greens' plan legalise cannabis nationally.

NSW Greens senator David Shoebridge says reasons for supporting the legalisation of cannabis are "more than just the vibe," with his party aiming to pass legislation allowing people to "chill out with cannabis...without the threat of police, violence or imprisonment."

Shoebridge spoke to 6 News' new podcast - Between Parkes Place and Capital Hill - along with Graeme Orr, Professor of Law at University of Queensland.

The legal side of the proposal, as well as possible concerns Australians may have, were all discussed.
