Alan Jones' new show goes off-air within 5 minutes of it starting

The new show launched following Jones' departure from Sky News Australia.

Alan Jones' new show - 'Alan Jones Direct to the People' - has gone off-air on both Facebook & YouTube just minutes after it began.

Only around 3 minutes after the opener of the show, the YouTube broadcast stopped & a 'thanks for tuning in' notice was shown, as usual for premieres on the platform.

Some in the video's live chat directed others to the Facebook broadcast, but that too was off-air within a further 2 minutes.

The YouTube broadcast had over 1,000 views just before it stopped.

Shortly after, the videos on both platforms were deleted.

Jones' website was also down before the show began at 8pm AEDT, with a message shown declaring "the origin web server timed out responding to this request."

Jones announced his new show following his departure from Sky News Australia in early November, signing with Australian Digital Holdings.

NSW Premier Dominic Perrottet & LNP Senator Matt Canavan were scheduled to be guests on the program tonight, which is pre-recorded - despite being promoted as 'live.'

At around 8:30pm AEDT, the show came back on-air.
