Did David Speers attack Labor's "terrible front bench lineup" on the ABC?

It's not the first time we've fact-checked comments David Speers has supposedly made.

A tweet claiming that ABC Insiders host David Speers commented on "that terrible front bench line up of Labor’s...including Kristina Keneally" provides an accurate quote - but leaves out some significant context.

The quote was made by Speers during yesterday afternoon's edition of Afternoon Briefing.

The tweeter added that the remark was made at the 19:50 timestamp of the program - but when you take a look at it, it tells a different story.

Speers was actually talking about what Scott Morrison was saying, essentially paraphrasing him:

"A lot of his media interviews in the last 24 hours or so have been about 'oh, that terrible frontbench lineup of Labor'...he's having a go at Kristina Keneally, Brendan O'Connor & others."

The supposed "including Kristina Keneally" part of the quote was not said either.

But it's not the first time we've fact-checked comments David Speers has supposedly made.

Last year, we looked at a claim that Speers said "I hope we (the LNP) can hang on" during the ABC's election coverage - a claim that has no evidence attached.
