Did Peter Dutton remove the Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander flags in his first press conference?

One tweet making the claim has gone viral - but it leaves out some crucial information.

A tweet claiming Peter Dutton "removed the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islands flags" in his first press conference as Liberal leader has gone viral - but it's not true.

The press conference was held in the Liberal's party room - not the so-called "blue room" at Parliament House, where the flags were put up alongside the Australian flag at a press conference featuring Anthony Albanese & his newly sworn in ministers last week.

The Liberal party room never featured the flags - meaning they were never "removed."

Peter Dutton today become leader unopposed following the resignation of Scott Morrison, with Sussan Ley as his deputy.

Meanwhile, Barnaby Joyce has been dumped as Nationals leader - with David Littleproud taking his place following a spill.

Perin Davey is his deputy.
