Newly-released polling for the Victorian parliament shows the Coalition maintaining its lead, just over one year out from the 2026 state election.

The polling from DemosAU, obtained exclusively by 6 News, was conducted from 21 to 27 October with a sample size of 1,016 and a 3.8% margin of error.

In the lower house, the Coalition leads with a 37% primary vote, while Labor and the Greens are unchanged from the previous September poll at 26% and 15% respectively. All others, including independents, are at 22%.

In the upper house, Labor is down 12% from the 2022 election to 21%. The Greens are just 7% away at 14%, while One Nation has risen from 2% to 11%. Family First sits at 5%, the Libertarians 4%, Animal Justice 3%, with all other VEC-registered parties at 2% or less.

The Victorian upper house is not a statewide ballot, instead using regions and group voting tickets, making results for minor parties harder to predict.

On the question of preferred premier, Liberal leader Brad Battin has risen to 40%.
