Tim Smith RESIGNS after crashing car while twice the legal limit

Victoria Liberal MP Tim Smith has RESIGNED from the Shadow Cabinet after crashing his car while driving more than twice the legal limit.


Police say Smith crashed into another car in Hawthorn just before 9pm AEDT last night & had a blood-alcohol level of 0.131.


Opposition Leader Matthew Guy says he remains "exceedingly angry and disappointed with Tim Smith's actions and have conveyed my thoughts to him in no uncertain terms."


Smith will remain in the Victorian Parliament.


Footage shows the fence that was crashed into being taped-off & a stop sign was knocked over.
