Have famous artists like Bruce Springsteen & Barbra Streisand removed their music from Spotify?

It came after the company lost $4 billion in market value over the Neil Young controversy.

A tweet claiming that famous artists like Bruce Springsteen & Barbra Streisand have removed their music from Spotify has received over 30 thousand likes - but is it true?

Last week, singer Neil Young threatened to remove his music from the popular platform if they did not remove 'The Joe Rogan Experience' over COVID-19 misinformation.

Spotify removed Young's music, and that led to boycotts from some that have seen the company lose $4 billion in market value.

Singer Joni Mitchell also said she would pull her music from Spotify.

But what about Willie Nelson, Bruce Springsteen, Barbra Streisand, Queen, Paul McCartney, The Rolling Stones, Dave Grohl & Pearl Jam?

None of those artists or groups have removed their music or had it removed, although we should point out that Nils Lofgren has pulled his music in solidarity with Young.

Of course, some of those artists may change their mind - but at time of publication, that tweet was - for the most part - factually incorrect.
