Vladimir Putin has ordered armed forces to neutralise those responsible for 'treason'.

Yevgeny Prigozhin, the boss of the mercenary Wagner Group, says his troops have marched from Russia into Ukraine with reports as of 10pm AEST Saturday that they are moving towards Moscow.

Prigozhin has been accused of calling for an armed mutiny, with an arrest warrant issued as Russian president Vladimir Putin orders armed forces to neutralise those responsible for 'treason'.

The Kremlin says Putin is receiving constant updates on the situation, while here at home, foreign minister Penny Wong's office has told 6 News there is "no comment at this stage".
